It’s pretty funny watching guys throw shakas while wearing gloves…between that and some serious cold water ripping going down in Tofino, Canada at the O’Neill Cold Water Classic Canada make this clip a keeper.

the malnourished are wearing 5/4s, hoods, and booties…
a typical person with adequate body fat should be wearing a 3/2 w/ booties. das it.
keep in mind the water temperatures of british columbia are comparable to the santa cruz region

hoofcovers, you are a serious yahoo, being from the northwest i know for a fact that a 3/2 doesn't really ever make the cut, especially when the warmest water comes opposite of the warmest weather.

The water surface temp's on Lake Michigan are at a very balmy 50 degrees right now and only wearing a 3/2 with a rashgard underneath and 3mm gloves and booties. I guess your blood changes when living out in colder places and surfing colder places and I am from sunny SoCal, go figure.

not familiar with da term "yahoo" but it seems to carry wun negative connotation.
anyways my comment was in regards to surfing heats in which a little chill may be a positive trade off in order to obtain greater flexibility.
i expect dat da climatological archives would indicate snow in october to be very uncommon in the vancouver island region at sea level, and an even less probabilitee in october. dat sed, it has also snowed in santa cruz and san francisco.
