The ASP Top 17 is comprised of the Top 10 finishers on the ASP Women’s World Tour from 2011, the Top 6 from the Women’s World Ranking and one ASP Wildcard to round out the roster.

Tyler Wright has claimed the 2011 ASP Women’s World Tour Rookie of the Year Award, finishing a season-end 4th amongst the most talented crop of female surfers ever to grace the ASP Top 17.

The opening day of the Women’s Nike US Open of Surfing is LIVE this morning in clean two-to-three foot surf at South Huntington Beach Pier.

The Nike US Open of Surfing will run in conjunction with the men’s event and ASP Pro Junior Divisions and is also part of a greater action sports festival, including BMX, Skate, Art and Music, all of which are free to the public.

The Roxy Pro could see the ASP Women’s World title crowning this week as Carissa Moore (HAW) and Sally Fitzgibbons (AUS) are the only two remaining contenders. The possibilities are as follows...
