Hawaii surf forecasters at the local National Weather Service bureau expect the peak of the swell to be some time between 4am and 8am Thursday.
The system under the microscope is due to unfold over the weekend, lending itself to more accurate analysis come Monday. It's still a bit early to really tell, but this one could be a big one and cause the Eddie to run an unprecedented two years in a row. Stay tuned for more updates next week.
