Costa Rica Rainforest Outward Bound offers challenging but rewarding surf camps in warm tropical waters near national reserves full of monkeys, iguanas, and exotic wildlife. With an emphasis of physical challenge, personal development, and safety, our surf adventures don\'t just teach the techniques of getting on the board and hanging ten; they integrate all aspects of the sport into our curriculum—including coastal ecology, the physics of waves, lunar phases and weather systems. No matter what level of surfer you are, you will learn to be a better, more aware surfer in the uncrowded waters of some of the most gorgeous and biologically diverse beaches in the world.
ENCINITAS – After receiving complaints about local beaches becoming overrun with schools for novice surfers, the Encinitas City Council tonight will discuss whether to tighten oversight of surf camps.
