The hard-charging, veteran aerialist from New Smyrna Beach won the jackpot in the 16th annual Quiksilver King of the Peak contest Monday at Sebastian Inlet, cashing in on $5,100 in prize money -- including the bonus of 3,000 James Madison gold coins in a treasure chest -- for two days of "work."
The Quiksilver King Of The Peak Skins is back at the Sebastian Inlet on November 6th and 7th. This highly anticipated annual event will showcase the best surfers in North America, the Caribbean and Latin America and crown the King of the Peak and reward him $3,000.00 in King’s Bonus Treasure!

Organizers of Surf Fest 2010, a multi-event surfing experience set to occur at Sebastian Inlet's famed First Peak between March 6-14, 2010, are today announcing the creation of a premier pro surfing contest open only to surfers age 40 and over. The event will feature a $12,000.00 cash purse, with a $3,000.00 first-place prize and 50% of the field taking home prize money.
