For the second year in a row, the South Shore takes down the North Shore is an-all Oahu battle for island bragging rights.

Ten surfers for each team were chosen by the public via an online poll. Each shore’s team has to include at least one female surfer and two groms. A “ringer” will be allowed to be a part of each team and does not have to be disclosed until day of competition; the “ringer” can be any surfer from anywhere in the world. This past weekend the inaugural Red Bull took to the sunny and rippable peaks of Sandy Beach to witness the first ever Red Bull Rivals event pitting the best surfers from the South Shore of Oahu versus those from the North Shore.
