Rip Curl Pro Zarautz
Tim Boal (Anglet, FRA), 25, won the Association of Surfing Professionals (ASP) World Qualifying Series (WQS) 5-Star Rip Curl Pro Zarautz today, claiming valuable 2000 ratings' points after defeating Joan Duru (Hossegor, FRA), 19, in clean two to three foot (0.5 to 1 meter) waves in an unprecedent 100% French final.
On-shore winds and testing four to six foot (1.2 to 2 meter) waves were the setting on Day 4 of the Rip Curl Pro Zarautz and power surfers took control of the ASP World Qualifying Series (WQS) 5-Star event litteraly destroying the solid faces on offer.
The Rip Curl Pro Zarautz, and Association of Surfing Professionals (ASP) World Qualifying Series (WQS) 5-Star event, already stands as one of the most important events of the 2008 ASP European Pro Surf Tour.
