Strong onshore winds, rain and 4-5ft peaks thundered into Fistral beach for Day 3 of the Relentless Boardmasters where Wiggolly Dantas highlighted a day filled with excellent surfing displays despite the tough conditions.
The Association of Surfing Professionals (ASP) Relentless Boardmasters a Men's Star Series $120,000 5-Star event kicked-off today with current ASP Dream Tour member Travis Logie (Durban North/ZAF) 31, leading the charge of international surfers on day one of competition at the main contest site of Fistral beach, Newquay with a commanding performance in the first clash of the tournament setting the pace for the remainder of the day.
After passing the halfway mark of the 2009 Association of Surfing Professionals (ASP) World Qualifying Series (WQS) season, several campaigners on The Grind picked up their bags and headed over to Europe for the Relentless Boardmasters in association with Vans for the ASP 5-Star contest in Newquay, England.
Australian Dan Ross' win in Newquay, England solidifies his lead on the World Qualifying Tour and nearly guarantees him a slot in the 2010 ASP World Tour.
