The Billabong Pipe Masters in Memory of Andy Irons, the final jewel of the Vans Triple Crown (an ASP Specialty Series), is back on this morning in building two-to-four foot (1 metre) surf at the Banzai Pipeline after nearly a week of lay days.
“As predicted, the surf is still small this morning so we’ve been forced to call competition off once again,” Richie Porta, ASP International Head Judge said. “The good news is that we’re expecting a new swell to start filling in tomorrow, so we should be back up and running soon.”

Competition for the Billabong Pipe Masters in Memory of Andy Irons, the third and final jewel of the Vans Triple Crown (an ASP Specialty Series), has been called off for a second consecutive day today with virtually no surf on offer at Pipeline.
Although several of the North Shore’s premiere breaks are seeing surf in the 10-to-12 foot (3 - 4 metre) range this morning, the steep northerly angle of the swell is offering only minimal surf at Pipeline, forcing event officials to call the Billabong Pipe Masters in Memory of Andy Irons off for today.
The Billabong Pipe Masters, the final event on the 2010 ASP World Tour, is set to commence today with the world’s best surfers facing off against one another and a bevy of Pipeline specialists in the 48-man draw.
