The Association of Surfing Professionals (ASP) 6-Star O’Neill Cold Water Classic Canada will return to the rustic town of Tofino on Vancouver Island, British Columbia for the second consecutive year and will see local hero and defending event champion Peter Devries (Tofino, BC), 27, tackle a global field of talent in front of his home crowd at the mobile event.

Nat Young (Santa Cruz, CA), 18, grabbed the highest single wave score of the event, a 9.77 out of 10, with jaw-ping backside surfing on a long Tofino righthander.

The O'Neill Cold Water Classic's ASP 6-Star status will be one of four ASP 6-Star events remaining on this year's calendar and the crop of talent ready to tackle the Pacific Northwest are hungry to post results to solidify their spot on next year's ASP World Tour.
