The final stop of the 2011 Nixon WTA (winner-takes-all) wrapped up on the North Shore of Oahu during the Billabong Pipe Masters in Memory of Andy Irons.
Winner walks away with the Nixon WTA title and custom watch worth $10,000
Jeremy Flores claims victory as the Winner-Takes-All “Heaviest Wave” winner during the Billabong Pro Tahiti. In honor of Jeremy’s performance, he was awarded with a one-of-a-kind Nixon watch valued at over $10,000.
Any wave from the trials to the finals counts for this award, making it one the most exciting contests of the 2011 Nixon WTA.
Jordy Smith (ZAF) prevailed and claimed a one-of-a-kind Nixon for “Highest Heat Score” during the second stop of the WTA (Winner Takes All) this year at J-Bay.
The surfer with the highest heat score during the 10-day event will be deemed the WTA winner for the stop. From the trials to the finals, each wave is considered during the judging process, making each heat a contest of its own.
Josh Kerr (AUS) took home the prize and claimed victory for “Biggest Air” during Nixon’s first WTA stop of the year.
The Nixon WTA (Winner-Takes-All) is back for the fifth consecutive year and will make the first stop of the 2011 series during The Billabong Pro in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, May 11-22.
Joel Parkinson conquers the Vans Triple Crown of Surf, making him a 3x Winner of The Nixon WTA Triple Crown.
The third and final stop of the 2010 Nixon WTA (Winner-Takes-All) will commence on the North Shore of Oahu November 12-December 20 and will be awarded to the overall Vans Triple Crown Champion.
Nixon’s second 2010 stop of the WTA (Winner-Takes-All) was awarded to Kamalei Alexander (HAW) for riding the heaviest wave during the fifth stop of the ASP World Tour during The Billabong Pro in Teahupoo, Tahiti.
The first stop of this years Nixon’s WTA (Winner Takes All) will occur at The Billabong Pro Jeffreys Bay, July 15-25, and will be awarded to the surfer with the highest heat score during the event. Waves from trails to finals count, which leaves the contest open to all surfers during the 10-day event.
Joel Parkinson walked away the winner of the final stop of the 2009 Nixon Winner-Takes-All (WTA) during the Vans Triple Crown. Parkinson secured his WTA victory as the overall Triple Crown champion at the Billabong Pipeline Masters on Oahu’s North Shore.
