The Association of Surfing Professionals (ASP) World Qualifying Series (WQS) continued its quest for next year’s ASP World Tour qualifiers with the completion of the ASP 6-Star Billabong Pro Tahara held in Aichi, Japan.
Day 4 of 2008 ASP WQS 6-Star Yumeya Billabong Pro Tahara was held today once again at Akabane Long Beach with beautiful waves breaking at the event main venue.
The US Open of Surfing here in Huntington Beach was blessed with great surf conditions all week with Nathaniel Curran taking out France’s Tim Boal in a hard-fought final for the men and 14-year-old Malia Manuel defeating fellow Hawaiian youngster Coco Ho in the women’s.
