Brian Toth defeated Mitch Coleborn to win the inaugural ASP 4-Star Quiksilver Clasico Mazatlan by a score of 14.33 to 11.76 in inconsistent two-to-three foot surf at the Mexican lefthand pointbreak of Playa Camaron.
The ASP 4-Star Quiksilver Clasico Mazatlan returned to Playa Camaron for the second consecutive day and saw the event’s top seeds sink their teeth into the two-to-four foot surf on offer while narrowing the field down to 32.
The opening day of the ASP 4-Star Quiksilver Clasico Mazatlan saw some of surfing’s iconic names take to the water alongside a mass of Latin underground talent.
