The Association of Surfing Professionals (ASP) PRIME 6.0 Lowers Pro is LIVE this morning in pumping six foot (2 metre) surf at Lower Trestles. With only 48 surfers remaining from the original 128-man field, today’s action should continue to heat up with a mass of ASP Dream Tour surfers combating the globe’s hottest up-and-comers for the 2010 6.0 Lowers Pro Title.
It was like the red carpet was rolled out for a good portion of the World Tour (err, World Title Race) on Thursday at the Lowers 6.0 Pro. Six-foot swell graced the cobblestones of the famed Lower Trestles as they awaited the brutalization of tail-high surfing.
With the heavy increase in ratings points for ASP PRIME events, this year’s 6.0 Lowers Pro has attracted the majority of the ASP Dream Tour field as well as an impressive list of up-and-coming talent, all of whom are out to establish themselves atop the ASP One World Rating.
