The world’s best surfers are gearing up for the opening event of the 2009 ASP World Tour, the Quiksilver Pro Gold Coast presented by LG Mobile, at Snapper Rocks from February 28 through March 11, 2009.

Quiksilver has found a pretty cool concept to base a series of Web clips around—that moment in heavy surf when a wave swings your way and everyone within earshot yells "GO!!" Featuring Kelly, Clay, Dane and more.

Patience is the highly anticipated surf film by Creative Society Media. The film stars some of the best waves and surfers in the world, including heaps of east coast gold.

After a historical year for European surfing in 2008 that saw four of its soldiers join the elite, next year will be another record for the rising nation in the sport as a total of seven competitors from Europe will be part of the Dream Tour.

Round 3 of the Quiksilver Pro France has been called off for the day. Event officials are confident that larger, more consistent conditions will arrive tomorrow.

Twenty-year-old Jeremy Flores (FRA) and 21-year-old Adriano de Souza (BRA) have a few things in common. They both qualified for the ASP World Tour as WQS No. 1 surfers, they are both rated in the ASP World Tour Top 10 and they both won their Round 2 Quiksilver Pro France heats held at Les Estagnots today.
