ASP World Tour surfer Heitor Alves (BRA) was one of five Brazilian surfers finding their way out of Round 2 and into Round 3 of the Hang Loose Santa Catarina Pro today. Fifteen of the 16 heats held today featured Brazilians. Five Brazilian surfers advanced to Round 3 directly from Round 1.

Round 2 of the Hang Loose Santa Catarina Pro has resumed in two to three foot (one metre) waves at Praia da Vila beach in Imbituba this morning.

Round 2 of the Hang Loose Santa Catarina Pro is off again today. The small, two foot conditions on offer are not suitable for Dream Tour competition. Forecasts indicate that the contest may resume tomorrow.
