Moore Claims ASP Grade-2 Roxy Pro Junior In France

BIARRITZ, France (Tuesday, July 15, 2008) – Carissa Moore (Oahu, HAW), 15, won the Roxy Pro Junior, an Association of Surfing Professionals (ASP) Grade-2 Pro Junior, after defeating Bianca Buitendag (ZAF), Justine Dupont (FRA) and Joahnne Defay (FRA) at La Cote des Basques in Biarritz. Moore, who was surfing in her first contest ever in France, dominated the event with great levels of surfing defeating reigning ASP European Women’s Champion Lee-Ann Curren (FRA) on her way to the title.
