While Atlantic Northeast winds howled throughout the final day, the cloudy Outer Banks’ skies were vaguely reminiscent of last year’s Easterns. Especially since the two most coveted titles were successfully defended by their 2008 champions.

The Eastern Surfing Association welcomes the best surfers from the East Coast back to Cape Hatteras for the 42nd annual gathering of "The Best Of The East" at Lighthouse Jetty on the Outer Banks of North Carolina.
