It's not everyday that a World Tour event is in your backyard. Well, it's once a year to be specific. But not everyone has that luxury. So we here at Transworld SURF want to show you what you don't see on the webcast, and what you might have seen if you were lucky enough to make it to Lowers.
SAN CLEMENTE, California (Thursday, Sept. 11, 2008) – There are only nine heats of the Boost Mobile Pro pres. by Hurley remaining and those heats will run in three to five foot swell today.
The standard of surfing at the Boost Mobile Pro pres. by Hurley was nothing short of electrifying today, but per usual, it was eight-time ASP World Champion and ratings leader Kelly Slater (USA) who stole the show.
The Boost Mobile Pro pres. by Hurley is a go for the third successive day today. The last 12 heats of Round 3 and the first six of Round 4 are slated to be surfed at Lower Trestles today.

The waiting period for the Boost Mobile Pro presented by Hurley started today, but event officials have opted not to run Round 1 at Lower Trestles this morning. The waiting period for the seventh of 11 events on the 2008 ASP World Tour stretches from Sept. 7-13, 2008.
