Lay Day for Billabong Pipeline Masters, Possible Start Tomorrow
The Billabong Pipeline Masters, Event No. 10 of 10 on the 2009 ASP World Tour, has called a lay day today, with unruly 20-foot (7 metre) seas closing out the famed break at the Banzai Pipeline.
FUEL TV is excited to announce that the network will be broadcasting the finals of the last stop of the Vans Triple Crown of Surfing , the Billabong Pipeline Masters, live in the United States. This will be the first-ever live broadcast of an ASP World Tour event in the United States.
On Sunday at Sunset we saw both Joel Parkinson and Mick Fanning make the final. Joel took the victory and Triple Crown lead. Now we wait till Pipe begins and the World Title to finally be decided. Check out the interview with Joel and insight from the world's best into who'll take the crown.
Jamie O'Brien, the undeniable frontrunner to the throne of Pipeline itself, has announced he will donate his Billabong Pipeline Master prize money to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation's Pipeline to a Cure campaign.
