In a battle over the use of personal water crafts (PWCs) in the Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary, NOAA has ruled that starting in February 2009 PWCs will be banned throughout the 276-mile sanctuary. While a loophole protects Mavericks, PWC’s will be banned at Ghost Trees.
