By day's end, more than a dozen surfboards were interred into the Banzai surfboard graveyard and an unheard of Brazilian stole the show in his debut event. The Volcom Pipe Pro is a $120,000 5 star ASP rated event, held today in wave heights of up to 15 feet (wave face value).

The Billabong Pipe Masters in Memory of Andy Irons, the final jewel of the Vans Triple Crown (an ASP Specialty Series), is back on this morning in building two-to-four foot (1 metre) surf at the Banzai Pipeline after nearly a week of lay days.
“As predicted, the surf is still small this morning so we’ve been forced to call competition off once again,” Richie Porta, ASP International Head Judge said. “The good news is that we’re expecting a new swell to start filling in tomorrow, so we should be back up and running soon.”
The Billabong Pipe Masters in Memory of Andy Irons, the final jewel of the Vans Triple Crown (an ASP Specialty Series), has been called off again today with only small one-to-two foot (.5 metre) surf prevailing at Pipeline.
