Starting last Friday, Timmy Curran began recording his second full-length album, “Verses”, at Brotheryn Studios in Ojai, California. The album will be produced by fellow surfer/musician Todd Hannigan, who has produced early tracks for Jack Johnson, Colbie Caillat, Tristan Prettyman, and has also scored music for award winning surf films/documentaries such as Thicker Than Water, Sliding Liberia, FLOW: The True Story of a Surfing Revolution, and more. “Todd is one of those guys that can do anything, and I am so excited that he will be producing my next record. It is going to be really relaxing recording this close to home, and I am really looking forward to hearing what comes out of it all.”

            “Verses” is the follow-up to Timmy’s 2008 album “Word Of Mouth” (Adeline Records). Since its release Timmy has spent the past year playing shows in surf communities on both coasts, including opening for Angels & Airwaves in Hawaii, and filming Union Express with award-winning director Josh Landan. Union Express follows Timmy as he travels to surf spots along California’s Amtrak line, and blends surfing, musical performance, interviews, and cultural commentary. Timmy will tour in support of Union Express and “Verses”, both of which are scheduled to be released this fall. Select recordings from the Brotheryn sessions will be included in the film.
