hey there

im from switzerland ( not sweden !!! ). that means i dont have a lot of waves in front of my house… but every year im off for france to go and shred for 2 or maybe 3 weeks.

i would like to train my surfing skills the time im not actually surfing waves…

is there any kind of training that can prepare me for the cold and hard ocean at hossegor?

keep it tight

yeah swimming is key.  I train as much cardio and core strength as possible. sprinting is good also and anything else that requires explosive bursts of speed and strength, employing fast powerful movements, which helps in getting out to the lineup when it's big as well as giving you that extra burst when scrapping for a wave…lots of NFL players do this type of training, look it up - called plyometric training.
