Hi there,

I perforated my ear drum last September and had an op to fix it. Unfortunately, there is still a small hole (smaller than it was before). Apparently I need another op to fix it again or just put up with it.

As a regular surfer, I have to wear earplugs but would be worried about getting ear infections etc if I went on holiday somewhere like Bali etc apart from the hassle of always wearing earplugs.

Has anyone had any experience with this or got any advice, I can't believe with surfers that this is an uncommons problem. I know Danny Wills had a perforated ear drum last year, but dunno how he fixed it.

All help would be appreciated.
