January 15, 2009: - - Vans welcomes Lee-Ann Curren to the European SURF team. 19 year old Lee-Ann joins the Vans European Surf team. Hailing from Biarritz (France), Lee-Ann is daughter of the legendary Tom Curren and has been surfing since she was 9 years old.

With surfing in her blood it’s easy to that she is a natural with her smooth style. Ranking in the top 5 best French surfers Lee-Ann is racking up some contests including winning the ASP European title in 2007, placing 1st in the Kustom Jetty Surf Pro Junior and reaching the semi finals of the recent Roxy Pro in the US finishing in 7th place.

Vans Welcomes Marlon Lipke to the European SURF team

Marlon Lipke was born in Portugal and started surfing on the South Coast of the Algarve when he was just 8. He won his 1st major title in 1998, where he won the European Title in the Under 14 category and he didn’t stop there. He was crowned the German Champion a staggering 7 times, won the European Pro Junior Title in 2004 and finished 3rd at the Billabong World Junior Champs in Australia in the same year. And he qualified for the 2009 ASP World Tour.

When Marlon is not in the water, he plays tennis, enjoys chilling out with his friends and tries to organize photo trips to exotic or out of the way destinations… Sponsors: Vans, Hurley, Oakley, Nixon, Semente, Island Style
