Quiksilver’s siteLA is pleased to present “Shifting Gears,” an exhibition celebrating Khrystyne Zurian’s automotive design and artwork inspired by women in car culture. On December 6, Khrystyne will host an opening reception for ”Shifting Gears” at Quiksilver’s siteLA. Visitors are invited to explore the evidence of her design process in forms both traditional and unconventional. These include digital renderings, animations, a ≤ scale model, murals, projections and classic pin-up style paintings. DJ Franco Corral will dish out thetunes, and eco-friendly cocktails will be providedcourtesy of Veev.

To celebrate the introduction of its new collection for women, Quiksilver has selected six independent and creative women to be “Visionaries in Residence” at siteLA, a communal work and exhibition space in the Silver Lake neighborhood of Los Angeles. Over the course of a year, Quiksilver is offering these women valuable resources and support that will help them pursue their passions and expose their personal projects. siteLA functions as a venue for creative programming and special events stemming from the residents' personal projects.
Through exhibitions, performances and educational forums, the Visionaries in Residence will showcase their ongoing activity as artists, activists, entrepreneurs and designers. Quiksilver's siteLA, located at 2522 Sunset Blvd., Silver Lake, CA 90026, is open regularly from Wednesday through Saturday, 1:00pm to 6:00pm. All events are free and welcome for all.
