Apparel Inspired by the Kiwi Mountain Road Trip
 
AUCKLAND, N.Z. (January 14, 2009) - FEW New Zealand, a lifestyle apparel brand for men and women, will be showing its fall 2009 collection at the Action Sports Retailer (ASR) trade show, booth #1809, and at Surf Expo, booth #1614S.  The fall 2009 collection draws its key inspiration from everything encompassed in a New Zealand winter road trip to the mountains.
 
Ditching work early, filling up at the petrol station, the four hour drive to the mountain, brewers around the fireplace, hiking, the t-bar and après beers are all entailed in a legit Kiwi road trip to the snow.  Highlights throughout the collection include men’s cable knit zip jackets, v-neck sweaters and slim straight-leg pants, as well as women’s lightweight flannel dresses, N.Z. military-inspired jackets and printed sweater jackets.  New categories to the FEW collection are flannel button-ups, cable knit zip-up sweaters, leggings, woolen jackets and ladies wovens.
 
The quirky graphics that make FEW unique will continue to have a strong presence in the collection.  The cotton t-shirt provides FEW with a canvas for its Kiwi designers to create New Zealand-inspired art for the U.S. market.  “Sharing the New Zealand culture with the U.S. is so important to FEW,” says FEW Founder, Kena Lucy.  “It is ever-present in our collection, whether it is by obvious design inspiration from nature to trending and styling.”
 
Fabrics used throughout the line will include FEW’s staples such as organic cotton blends and courduroy, as well as with some great new additions;  FEW is especially excited to introduce the woolen jackets, yarn-dye wovens, cotton poplin tops, and the cotton terry and knit sweaters that have insanely soft finishing washes for extra comfort. Colors seen throughout the line include moody and indigo blues, bright violets, warm greys and velvety greens.
