The City of Folly Beach and the Southern South Carolina District of the Eastern Surfing Association (SSC/ESA) hosted the Fifth Annual S.C. Governor’s Cup of Surfing (20th Annual State Championships) on Saturday, Aug. 9, and Sunday, Aug. 10, at The Washout on Folly Beach. More than 250 competitors from Florida to Virginia battled it out in 28 various divisions in hopes of becoming the next South Carolina State Surfing Champion.
