What’s not to love about surfing hollow, sand-bottomed shorebreak in a tropical location? No need for a leash, you get a ton of waves, the water’s warm, and chicks can see you ripping from their respective perches. The only downside would be broken boards, sand enemas, and stingrays. have you never pulled in to a barrel Justin?
proper positioning/penetrating in hollow waves/closeouts makes a tremendous difference
experience (and an understanding of the physics at work) will tell you when and where to penetrate the barrel –> popping out the back completely unscathed.

That photo shoot was sick!!! really great, perfect waves. I was there the last day I think :). waves weren’t so good that day but still the guys were ripping!!!

not that I would know, but simply standing tall as long as possible is the way to go. bailing, either by shooting your board or jumping forward, can hurt and sliding out under the lip is an exercise in acl damage.
