Tropical Storm Danny Forms In The Atlantic

Yes, Hurricane Bill has come and gone. And it’s time for more tropical activity. TS Danny has formed, but early charts are showing a very close to land path, which would mean onshore winds and not much leftover swell behind it. But, as is the case with any storm, it is still very early and can do anything. Just a good sign for things to come when depression after depression churns up. The National Hurricane Center began issuing advisories on T.S. “Danny” on the morning of August 26th. The system still has a ragged appearance, but did have maximum sustained winds of 45mph. It is moving WNW and is expected to gradually curve to the north.
Forecast to become a hurricane, but given the shear expected along its path, probably not a major one. The storm’s expected track (map) will require a vigil along the U.S. eastern seaboard this weekend.
