Rip Curl Presents Stories From The Search: A New Movie Showcasing The 2008 Rip Curl Pro Search

Costa Mesa, CA (November 14, 2008): 2008 saw a legacy continue. The Rip Curl Pro Search ‘Somewhere In Indonesia’ stayed true to the event’s DNA: the World’s best surfers in the World’s best waves. From mind-blowing hell pits in Round 1 to flawless, roping lefts for the late rounds, upon event’s end, there was no doubt. The world witnessed the best waves for an ASP World Tour event since Mexico in ‘06.

Rip Curl is proud to follow up with ‘Stories from the Search’, a 45-minute movie that freshly showcases the play-by-play of this historic event. Accompanied by a couple blitzing freesurf sections compliments of Owen Wright, Taylor Knox, and the rest of the ASP top 45, ‘Stories from the Search’ captures the essence of the Rip Curl Pro Search.

Edited by Lachie McKinnon and David Palmer, bonus segments include two 26-minute segments highlighting the magic of the 2006 Rip Curl Pro Search: “Somewhere in Mexico”, as well as the 2007 Rip Curl Pro Search in Arica, Chile.
