As reported on www.abc.net.au/news

Journalist Matt Neal says he does not know why a live shark was dumped on the doorstop of his newspaper’s office in the middle of the night.

The live Port Jackson shark was found outside the Warrnambool Standard office in the south-west Victorian town earlier this week.

Police saved the shark by putting it into a bucket and releasing it back into they sea.

Neal has told ABC2’s News Breakfast that he is at a loss to find a motive for the shark dumping.

“We’ve got no idea to what motive is behind this bizarre event,” he said.
