Day 1 Of The 2008 Xcel Pro Presented By Honolua On Today, Watch It Live Online

First Heat Hits the Water at 8:00 AM

HALEIWA, OAHU, HAWAII - October 28, 2008 - Day 1 of the 2008 Xcel Pro Presented by Honolua is on today! A new North swell has arrived at Sunset in the 8′ to 10′ (Hawaiian) range, and is expected to build later in the day. The first heat paddles out at 8:00 AM (HST).

Today’s first of three competition days will stream LIVE at http://xcelpro.xcelwetsuits.com with up-to-the-minute results, highlights, and much more.

Celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, the 4-Star 2008 Xcel Pro Presented by Honolua kicks off the North Shore’s winter season and promises plenty of excitement from a field deep in young, local talent.

Celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, the 2008 Xcel Pro Presented by Honolua is a 4-Star ASP WQS event with a $80,000 purse, drawing pros and amateurs alike to world-class Sunset Beach along the North Shore of Oahu, Hawaii.

Honolua Surf Co. is the presenting sponsor of the 2008 event and is joined by associate sponsors Kustom, VonZipper, and Fuel TV. Fuel TV will produce the official Xcel Pro television special airing exclusively on their network. Surfing Live produces this year’s Webcast, streaming live action and results to viewers around the world.
