On Saturday, November 15, 2008 veteran shaper Uncle Mike Walters launched his back to the basics board company 21-13. Once again shaping out of his backyard, Uncle Mike is enjoying his lifelong art more than ever. If you’ve yet to see it, Uncle Mike’s Oceanside house/jungle/party yard/shaping bay is one of the most ideal layouts for any shaper all-time. He invited everyone over for some of his grilled perfections, on his birthday nonetheless, and to groove on the sounds of Ray Barbee, feel up the new 21-13s, and just enjoy a mellow afternoon.
To check out some of the boards, bios on the team, and all things 21-13, head to 21-13.com.
