If there’s one thing I didn’t need to see on the Cali Rally it was Paul Fisher spilling out of a pair of ultra short Hooters girl shorts. Yet that’s just the visual the whole restaurant in Costa Mesa witnessed during the 3rd Hooters Wing Eating Challenge. The token Aussie on the Cali Rally is the life of the party. “Oy! Me ring is already on fu—kin fire!” he screamed at the top if his lungs to the construction workers eating at the table next to him. As for the shorts? Let’s just say the kid could have flown away with the wings that were flapping out the side of his short shorts.

Midway through a plate of 100 Hooters wings, it was clear the Reef team came to their Hooters Challenge ready to win. Team Captain Chris Abad-astan anchored the team by eating a whopping 40 wings. “I’m from Oceanside so I’m just stoked to get a free meal,” said Abad as he chugged down a beer. “Is this supposed to be a challenge?” he asked.

Reef team member Nick Rozsa wasn’t as enthusiastic and had to excuse himself at the midway point for a runway model-like bathroom break. “I feel better now,” said Rozsa as he wiped the sweat from his forehead. Rozsa went on to muscle down a few more wings and give his team a seemingly impossible to beat 125 wings eaten at the Hooters Wing Eating Challenge. It’s gonna be tough to beat the Reef team at the valuable Hooters Challenge (500 points to the winner) but we hear that the skinny, booty-wearing Newps kid Josh Hoyer from the Analog squad can scarf like Kobayashi himself so let’s not count our wings before they’re eaten.
