WTF!!! Looks like that board is a dog! I’ve seen him surf smoother and faster on a CB bonzer. Bad footage. Not classic Knox at all. You guys should screen this shit TW.

You guys need to stop hating that was pretty great for waiste/belly high waves. I don’t know if you noticed it but the reason why he stumbled on a couple of waves was because there were people duckdiving right in front in him. Lower’s is great but the crowd sucks. Good on you Knox, I love watching you surf.

Any doubters should witness the round 2 clip of knox from the week after….he does a turn about a minute and 39 in that is absolutely ludicrous.

wait for his third wave on the video. after uncoiling three gob-chucking speed carves on a smallish set wave, knox whips a fourth turn that–in my foolish attempt to describe it–made me rethink water displacement and the basic laws of surfing physics.
look at the spray closely. sure, it’s the same big, round fan we’ve come to expect from elite-level surfers. but look closely at the spray, notice the freakish velocity with which it moves, and you’ll see these chunky columns of water explode outward like jets out of a fire hose attached to his rails and fins.
you just don’t see turns like that very often.
