Ya if your on that trip with all the guys and girls rippin you had better be pulling in, just because your last name is Andino, some of these younger guys that have there dads last name get everything handed to them,makes me sick.

Why do you bring up Mason Ho’s name? He’s not even on this trip our blog…
Kolohe surfs well, does flicks tail outs and throws no water..yet. But as far as bigger waves… No hope! And Indo is perfect. Wait till his Dad is trying to throw him out at Pipe… the grom wil be surfing Ehukai sandbar.By the way Mason charges.

was just asking… it seems to me that there is some extra hype behind Kolohe though - he’s never won anything on the international scene as far as I know yet somehow he’s consistently touted as the best grom in the world. All I’m saying is that JohnJohn was once untouchable and then puberty hit and his stock hasn’t stopped falling since. If Kolohe isn’t keeping up with Sally, who can’t be any bigger than he is (and, by the looks of it, has several inches on poor little Adriano), I’ve gotta question the media blitz that surrounds him at this point. I even saw more on those videos from Connor Coffin who, quite frankly, I’ve barely even heard of.
Mason Ho is another story. He’s not a kid anymore, and as far as I can tell, has created his own hype by surfing pretty well in the big stuff. Same story with his little sister (side note - someone should tell Coco to stay out of the bikini shoots until she grows a bit… she looks well out of place in the VF article).

thanks stu…i’ve wondered the same thing about kolohe for awhile now. it’s good to know it’s not just me wondering why he seems to get so much publicity.
i’m not trying to tear the kid down, just wondering why other kids his age, who seem to perform as well or better, don’t get the same recognition.

True story - I was talking to a kid down the street last night who just watched these videos and the first thing he said was that Kolohe should change his name to Chloe.

what bra!!! you obviously have never been to oahu on a big swell. jon jon rushes huge pipe. he also charged a huge day at mavericks last year, and he got a legit 10 footer at chopes last year too.!!! wake up!!!

kolohe is a freak of nature. im sure hes got plenty of barrels over there in indo, hes not scared. these few clips are nothing compared to whats been compiled on this trip. why copare kolohe and mason? mason lives at sunset, therefore has way more oppurtunity to charge. i dont think san clemente has ever got above 4 feet, so kolohe has to work harder to get these oppurtunitys.
the reality is, they all rip, and ARE the next generation.

Yeah where is Evan Geiselman he was on the trip. I know he charges in Hawaii. Saw him get some solid ones this last winter.
