This little antique store and surf shop can seriously waste hours of your day. The antique store is filled with so much cool stuff to look at from vintage knives to weird old street signs—if you like knick-knacks like I do, you’ll love this store. The surf shop is pretty much the iriest little zone—you can buy a Santana record and a asymmetrical twin fin all in the same store! Photo: Bielmann/SPL If you ever find yourself in the surfing fantasy-land that is Coolangatta on the Gold Coast of Australia, you will no doubt be taken by its modern and fashionable charm. I can easily say that this is the most surf psyched city in the world, and you can feel it in the air when you walk the streets—surf is king here in Cooly. You’ve seen the Superbank and Duranbah in full wave-machine mode, so now let’s take a quick tour of the town, and give you a few tips on how to live like a local while you’re here.—Chris Cote8y0x6998.jpg

Boys as an Aussie who lives not far from here, one I would recommend you bring on any trip to Cooly is a basic command of Portuguese. That’s right heaps of Brazil nuts everywhere. The chicks are fine but the blokes are bit full on.
Sydney has better waves - particularly Bondi. Uncrowded & real consistent.
Cheers
