Sunset Beach, Hawaii USA
November 3 - 8, 2008

SUNSET BEACH, Hawaii (Wednesday, November 26, 2008) – For the third day in a row, small surf and inconsistent conditions have once again prompted event organizers to call Roxy Pro competition off for the day, meaning that the next possible start will be Friday, November 28, as there will be no competition tomorrow in honor of Thanksgiving.

“Small surf has greeted us once again this morning and no competition will be held today,” Randy Rarick, Vans Triple Crown Event Director, said. “There will be no competition tomorrow as it is Thanksgiving so we’ll all be back on Friday morning for a possible start. We’re expecting sizable surf over the weekend so we anticipate action to commence in the coming days.”

The second stop on the Vans Triple Crown of Surfing (an ASP Specialty Series), the Roxy Pro at Sunset Beach is also stop No. 7 of 8 on the 2008 ASP Women’s World Tour and plays a vital role in the hunt for the 2008 ASP Women’s World Title.

Event organizers will reconvene Friday morning at 7am local time for a possible 8am start.

The waiting period for the Roxy Pro Sunset runs through December 6, 2008.

The Roxy Pro at Sunset Beach will be webcast LIVE via www.triplecrownofsurfing.com
