why the hate on his 1st wave? Just look at the stoke on him! Says it all. Isn’t this this exact emotion that got us hooked to begin with on surfing. Seeing this reaffirms it for me… Great piece of video. Look forward to seeing more of this movie.

WOW!!!!! That definitely looks like the FUNNEST wave i’ve ever seen. Might not be the best shape in the world, but i’ve never seen anything peel that long and good. Looks like a machine. Props to Cory, now tell us where it is!

yeah i kinda see what you’re saying Bitternuts, Cory never got real deep. Foam ball ride up, sure, but i don’t know about any 30 second tube rides or whatever they’re claiming. if it exists, let’s see the goods!

As we explained on the lostenterprises.com website that this was pulled from - this was his first wave. On this wave he invented the Cory Lopez “Can you believe this sh#t?” stance. This wave would not have even made our cut had it not been the first of the session. No 30 second tubes unless you count “partially covered” as tube time - although there are a few waves with 20 and 30 seconds of “real” tube time. The longest tube is 16 to 18 seconds depending on where you are from. The last 15 minutes of “5′5 Redux” will be the best appx 15 waves from this day.

Rad, can’t wait to see the flick. Last 15 minutes will be 15 waves (approx)? So each wave is a minute long? That’s very nice for them.
