Waimea Wakes Up

With unheard of buoy readings (27 second intervals?!?) and the usual excitement that goes along with the prediction of a big swell, hopes were high yesterday on the North Shore for a day of all time big wave surfing. But alas, the ocean had other ideas and the swell didn’t pan out as predicted (insert flat tire sound here). That said, Waimea Bay had a ton of takers who were more than happy to dust of the rhino chasers and paddle into a few bombs. We’ll see what this swell does in California…
