Beacon by GoldCoast Skateboards
Ever since my skateboard was stolen off the bluffs at Beacons (an cruisy reef break in San Diego County), when I was 12-years old I’ve despised the place. And now that pro snowboarders like Todd Richards have taken over the joint, I’m even more over it. But I feel like it’s time for a change of heart. Here’s the plan: I’m gonna mongo push down Neptune Avenue to Beacons and hide my new Beacon Cruiser from GoldCoast in the bushes really good this time. Then I’m gonna throw a big shaka to all the loggers and retired snowboarders as I pay homage to Donald Takayama and get barreled all the way across the south peak bowl.—Justin Coté
