We had this place for about an hour before the wind came up. It's a chip shot into a short hollow barrel. This was courtesy hurricane Nadine, which was the 5th longest running hurricane in history.


Canadian pro surfer Nico Manos has spent his life scouring the nooks and crannies of eastern Canada in search of perfect surf. And while the area can kill your spirit with flat spells, bitter cold, and extreme tides, if you know where to be and when—like Nico does—amazing surf can be found especially during hurricane season. Here’s a look at what Nico came across during the 2-12 ‘cane season. Not bad, eh?
