Leila Hurst started surfing at the tender age of three years old when her dad would push her into little waves at Hanalei Bay on her native Kauai. By nine she was entering contests and surfing under the tutelage of the Irons brothers and Keala Kennelly among others. The Vans Triple Crown of Surfing rookie of the year in 2010, Leila thrives in powerful Hawaiian surf and finished 28th in the 2012 ASP World Rankings. More than just a pretty face, Leila works with the Life Rolls On Foundation and recently introduced her disabled sister to the sport of surfing.
