A tsunami watch as been issued by the Pacific Tsunamic Warning Center Wednesday after a major earthquake in Costa Rica, Reuters reports.
A powerful, magnitude-7.6 earthquake has shaken Costa Rica, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. There are no immediate accounts of damage or injuries.
Pacific Tsunami Warning Center has issued tsunami warning for Costa Rica, Panama, Nicaragua, El Salvador, Honduras, Mexico, Colombia, Ecuador, Guatemala, and Peru.
Chile’s navy has declared a tsunami alert warning for the country’s coastline, Reuters reports.
