The event gathering the world’s best Masters surfers in Nicaragua is beginning and is live on the webcast, which can be viewed at www.isawmsc.com/live. The Opening Ceremony of the Nicaragua ISA World Masters Surfing Championship is leading off with the 26 competing nations walking through the town of Rivas in the Parade of Nations.
The ISA World Masters brings together the best over-35 surfers from around the world to compete for individual and team medals and the perpetual Eduardo Arena Trophy, which is presented to the Gold Medal-winning team. Nearly 140 surfers will be competing in five divisions (Men’s Masters, Men’s Grand Masters, Men’s Kahunas, Men’s Grand Kahunas and Women’s Masters) over the course of eight days of competition at Colorado Beach at Hacienda Iguana, a beachbreak located on the Pacific Ocean side of the country.
