Mauli Ola Cystic Fibrosis Benefit Golf Tourney

Mauli Ola Hosts 5th Annual “Surfers for Cystic Fibrosis” Charity Golf Tournament

LAGUNA BEACH, Calif., June 28, 2012 – The Mauli Ola Foundation (MOF) will host its 5th annual “Surfers for Cystic Fibrosis” Golf Tournament on July 30 at the Pelican Hill Golf Club in Newport Beach, Calif.

Located in the heart of Laguna Beach, the Mauli Ola Foundation is a non-profit organization which promotes education and awareness of genetic diseases, and supports increased research for genetic disorders. MOF raises funds for programs benefiting children and adults with life-threatening illnesses and disabilities with social events such as music concerts, sports tournaments and galas.

World-famous surfer and MOF Community Outreach Director Kalani Robb will host this year’s golf tournament. Some of the biggest names in the surfing industry will also be present including Kala Alexander, Sunny Garcia, Hans Hagen, and many more. Last year tickets sold out so be sure to sign up quickly and claim a spot. There will be an early bird special for those who register in advance.

All funds raised will go towards supporting the MOF’s Surf Experience Days for kids and young adults who suffer from Cystic Fibrosis (CF) and other genetic disorders. For CF patients, it has been discovered that exposure ocean air, while participating in sports such as surfing, helps assist in the breakdown of the mucus that lines their lungs, making it much easier for them to breath.
