SME Hosts The Surfrider Foundation And TransWorld SURF On International Surf Day And Unveils New Creative Direction On Smelive.Com

JUNE 19th, 2012, Irvine, CA: –Wednesday, June 20th 2012 SME live hosts the inaugural LIVE web-a-thon for International Surf Day in the Ubiquity Studios in Irvine, CA. All eyes will be on hosts Chris Coté and Susan Holmes McKagen as professional surfers, surf industry dignitaries, countless musicians, environmentalists, and celebrities lend their voice to the causes spearheaded by the Surfrider Foundation.

“Over the last eight years International Surfing Day has gone from a small handful of events here in the United States to over 120 events in nearly two dozen countries worldwide,” says Matt McClain, Surfrider Foundation’s Director of Marketing. “This year we really wanted to step things up for those people who might not be able paddle out or to attend an event. Now everyone everywhere can participate.”

In addition to providing studio services for the venue, digital media agency SME will also be producing the live webcast and unveiling new creative for their popular website www.smelive.com. “We’ve spent the last couple years building a groundswell of momentum within alternative culture media”, said Matt Patterson, VP of Marketing and new business development. “The new look & feel of the site reflects our position it’s simple, clean and allows the content to shine.”
