Costa Mesa, CA (May 7, 2012): 2009 ASP Rookie of the Year, former ASP World Junior Champion, and Hawaiian standout, Kekoa Bacalso and Rip Curl have reunited for a multi-year deal.
A fixture on RC’s program for a number of years, Bacalso and Rip Curl went separate ways for over a year. However, the stars aligned for a reunion, and Bam is back on the program and fired up.
“I’m happier than ever to be with the Rip Curl ohana,” said Bam shortly after his equal 25th showing at the Nike Lower Pro. “Being back on the team with the likes of Mick, Owen, Taylor, Wilko, and Brazilian wonder Gabriel is amazing. I’m confident and driven more than ever to be battling along side these guys and waving the Rip Curl flag in Hawaii.”
Look for Kekoa to be doing damage in various ASP star-rated events this 2012, as well as racking up some frequent flyer miles on some Search photo/video trips.
